I was meeting my client-bride for the very first time on her very big day on July 27th, 2019. There are so few people in the world that can make someone like you right away within those first few seconds, and Mrs. Winter Walden is surely one of then.
Her down to earth, humble respectful attitude, paired with her beauty and kindness makes this woman's groom one incredibly lucky individual! Myself and my second shooter enjoyed getting to know this fun-loving couple on their perfect wedding day!
In the small and quiet country town of Westphalia, they exchanged their vows inside the Church of Visitation. The natural light poured through the stained glass windows of the sanctuary upon the beautiful art and architecture. The chandeliers were lit and hanging from a dreamy trail of blue painted starry heavenly sky on the ceiling.
From the bride:
"On May 15th, 2015, I was asked on a date to the Temple Bloomin' Fest. It was the first time for both of us to go out for some time, but we both had a night that we remembered forever! I remember meeting him for the first time. We were on the phone trying to find each other in the middle of a Dairy Queen parking lot, then out of the blue, we saw each other. He still quotes, until this day, that in that exact moment, he saw who would become the love of his life. After we introduced ourselves, we went throughout the carnival having a great time.
The rest of the night included nervously sweaty hands, the smell of funnel cakes, and the sound of our laughter. Luckily, we were able to sneak away from the crowd and went walking near the train tracks. In that moment, we began to talk about our entire life. We talked about our family, our goals and ambitions, and what we wanted in our future lives.
The night ended as the best night of each other's lives (which we didn't know there were 4 more years of more great nights to come), and started our new journey together, hand in hand."
Congratulations to this amazing couple! It was an honor and a pleasure capturing what was the last wedding at this almost 125 year old church!
